The OASIS Project
OASIS is the acronym of Open Archiving System with Internet Sharing. It was funded as project by the European Union under the master program EU Culture 2000 from May 2004 until April 2007.
The project has established a distributed internet platform for
- research
- preservation and
- documentation of electronic arts.
The goal was to provide a complex system in order to ensure the sustainable availability of European cultural heritage in the field of electronic arts.
OASIS presents novel models and ideas about networked media archives.
